Program: This 10 week business internship is designed for Jewish college sophomores, juniors and select seniors who are pursuing careers in business and/or technology. Each Birthright Israel Excel Fellow is assigned an internship at a prominent Israeli company with global reach, in industries such as finance, venture capital, consulting, hi-tech, bio-tech and social media. The Fellows are guided by professional mentors as well as Israeli student peers helping the Fellows to acclimate to Israeli society.

Program: Prior to arriving in Israel, you will work with an internship coordinator to secure an internship that is just right for you. Students in the past have worked in a variety of fields -- from high tech to journalism to volunteering and more. During your two months living in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem, you will focus on your internship. You will intern 25-30 hours each week at your internship, and you will still get to travel and see parts of Israel you have never experienced. You will also be take part in educational seminars that will expose you to subjects such as modern Israeli society, religion and the Jewish state, the Arab-Israeli conflict, Jewish identity in modern Israel, trends in the Israeli job market or more. Optional Hebrew Ulpan (language class) is provided weekly.

Program: Collegiate Leadership Internship Program (CLIP) matches students who have an interest in Jewish Life and culture with internships at a variety of of non-profit, profit and Jewish communal organizations for four days a week so that they will be mentored and guided towards developing new professional skills. The goal of the internship being to foster and develop leadership in the Jewish community, the interns also gather twice a week for educational seminars. In this 10 week program, the interns also partake in one on one meetings, individualizing the program for the respective student, a group Shabbaton (weekend retreat with their peers), and afternoon of volunteer work, and a site visit to an agency in a professional field of interest. Upon completion of the summer, interns receive a $2,300 stipend.

The Institute for Israel and Jewish Studies offers a number of Undergraduate Fellowships combining support for study serve, or internship work in Israel and an invitation only educational opportunity at Columbia University. Institute Fellows will be awarded a stipend in support of their program, study or internship. In return, students become Institute Fellows, and during their summer in Israel will participate in a number of educational and social opportunities to discuss matters related to Israeli culture and history. During the academic year, participants will be required to attend a set number of events, some designed specifically for fellows, which will include discussions and presentations by leading national and international thinkers and writers in their field.

The Pardes Summer Program is three weeks of dynamic, interactive study of Jewish texts in a vibrant community of students from around the world. Grapple with the great Jewish books and ideas, experience how classic Judaism tackles contemporary challenges and be inspired by our renowned faculty. Every Tuesday, we will be touring key sites in Jerusalem, and hear guest speakers; and in addition to study, we will have opportunities to socialize and spend Shabbat meals together. The Tower Tomorrow Fellowship
The Tower Tomorrow Fellowship, run by The Israel Project*, offers a select group of university students to participate in a paid intensive eight-week long summer program. Participants will engage in a course in advocacy through writing, journalism, and social media. The fellowship’s goal is to cultivate a new generation of pro-Israel leaders in areas of policy, media, and advocacy. The Fellows participate in a rigorous writing seminar in order to influence national conversation about Israel and the Middle East.
Who is qualified? Open to all undergraduate and graduate students. Fellows are thinkers, researchers, communicators, current-event followers, and team players. Fellows have a strong interest in Israel and want to influence the debate about Israel. International students: must have U.S. student or work visa to apply.
